Halloween

Here is a recap of our Halloween Activities.

The Saturday before Halloween, Lucas was invited to a Halloween party. Adrienne is his cute and sweet little friend from school. She is such a sweetheart. It was so nice to be able to use his costume more than once.









The next day we painted pumpkins outside. Lucas loved it and had a major temper tantrum when the fun was over.





Every year, Lucas' school has a parade around the shopping center they are next to. The stores and restaurants in the shopping center hand out candy and treats to all the kids. It is so cute and I go every year to take pics. Sadly, Lucas was sick on Halloween so I just took him there for the parade and then took him back home. He didn't get to participate in the party afterwards.





That evening, we put on his costume again... Since he wasn't feeling well, we just went to a couple houses with the neighbors just so we could grab a few pics.

Lucas' Mickey Party (2nd Birthday)

As we all know, Lucas loves Mickey Mouse so we decided to plan a Mickey party for his 2nd birthday. This year his birthday fell on a Thursday so I took a half day on Thursday and took off Friday. Thursday afternoon, we celebrated with a party at Lucas' school.

As always, parties are a bit overwhelming on the kids. He was not in a great mood for most of the time.
He was given so many nice things from our family and friends. We are very greatful for everyone who came and celebrated with us.

Lucas - 2 Years Old!!!!!

Seriously, I know I have started out a lot of a posts asking the same question but really, where has the time gone?

I got busy and missed the 23 months post so I am making sure not too late on this one. I really need to start scheduling some time on my calendar to make sure I keep up with this blog. I am going to write a separate post on the birthday festivities and keep this one to what he has been up to these days.

I plan to have some nice photos taken of him but we ran out of time:

Lucas @ 2:
-Has recently started adding more two word phrases to his vocabulary saying things like "NO CO!" for "No Cody" and "My MA Mouse" for "My Mickey Mouse"
-Uses the word "MINE" a lot when we have something he wants
-Is still obsessed with Mickey, Cho Chos, trucks, buses and anything with wheels
-Smiles the second he sees one of us walk in the room to pick him up from school
-Favorites foods are currently quesadillas and pizza (anything with carbs and cheese)
-Is still very picky and doesn't have a huge interest in food...but gets very cranky when he is hungry
-Loves to give hugs - he is so sweet and loving when he wants to be
-Has a lot of tantrums over milk and how he wants more of it
-Loves his dog so much and gives him a hug every night before he goes to bed and says "Bye CO!"
-Still loves to be outside and run freely
-Enjoys dancing to Mickey Mouse clubhouse music
-Weighs 26.5 pounds (we just went the doc today)
-Is a bit on the short side (like his momma)being only in the 3rd percentile but the doctor says it is possible he could have a growth spurt
-Is a healthy and happy (and strong willed little boy)

We are blessed.

Lucas - 22nd Months

Well, I have missed the last few monthly posts. Life has been crazy busy!

Lucas is growing by the second! He will be be 2 in just 2 short months.










@ 22 Months:
-Has recently started saying phrases like "what is that?" or "where's da (dad)"
-Mickey Mouse has become an obsession - Daddy bought Lucas a Mickey stuffed animal a couple weeks ago and he goes to bed every night with him
-Loves to dance and sing and clap
-Still loves being outside
-Daycare calls him "drama king" because he throws fits every time he has to come inside from the play ground
-Favorite game is pretend he is leaving. He grabs his play keys, gives us kisses and hugs and tells us bye. Then he drives off on his car. It is soooooo sweet!
-Loves construction sites and always points at the big machines when we walk or drive by
-Moves to the 2 year old room at daycare/school in September
-Loves to pretend to cook with the play kitchen at school
-Tells all his classmates good bye each day when it is time to go home
-Is still so snuggly and sweet even with all his wild boy ways

July 4th in OCMD

We went up to Ocean City, Maryland for a long 4 day weekend for the 4th of July weekend. Dave and my mom were already up there so we just tagged along for the end of their vacation. We had a great time getting away for a few days. Lucas was terrified of the water and not a big fan of the sand. Since Josh and I are major beach lovers, we are hoping this is just a phase. Here is a bunch of pics from the weekend.
