Trip to Texas

We traveled to Texas in April to visit Josh's brother Jacob, his wife Ashley, and their girls, Aleyna & Abby. The girls had a joint birthday party that weekend which was nice, since we don't normally get to spend birthdays together. Josh's parents, his sister-in-law HeeJin, and the kids also came in for the weekend from Louisiana. It was a great visit and catch up.

On the Airplane:

In Dallas Airport - He insisted on being a big boy and carrying his backpack.

Lucas is 2.5

It is just baffling to me that our little boy is half way to 3 years old. I probably always sound like a broken record on these posts but seriously - where does the time go? The days are long and exhausting with a 2.5 year old but we wouldn't change it for the world.

At the ENT getting his ears checked:

Reading a Mickey Mouse book:

@ 2.5
-Around 28 pounds
-Has moved to the 10th percentile for height
-Wearing 24 months clothing and some 2T
-Showing a lot of interest in the potty training but not potty trained yet ( he was going multiple times a day before our trip but has since regressed)
-Favorite movies are Toy Story (1, 2, and 3) and Frozen
-Still loves Mickey Mouse and all things Disney
-Fights us a lot with sleep from going down to sleep to staying in his bed in the middle of the night
-Has a major attitude for such a little man
-Becoming increasingly picky with food
-Blames pretty much everything on the dog saying "Coco did it!"
-Has become interested in books again (finally)
-Tells everyone "mommy (or daddy) gave me a boo-boo" whenever one of us yells at him (if his feelings are hurt it is a boo-boo)
-Tantrums are a regular occurrence from the time we wake up from the time we go bed
-Gives lots of snuggle when he is tired

Swim Lessons

Lucas had his first swim lesson on March 8th. He is still part of the Toddler & Me class. Once he turns 3, he will eligible for the class that does not require a parent to be in the water. He really enjoys going each week and just loves the water.
