Baby Kaitlyn

On Sunday, March 14th, Sarah & BJ welcomed baby Kaitlyn into this world. I am so excited for the both of them. I can't wait to meet the little bundle of preciousness and give her tons of kisses.

Italy

We have been talking about taking a trip to Italy for a very long time. It is something we want to do prior to starting a family. This summer may be our last before we begin trying to start a family. It is the perfect time to get our passport stamped with an Italian stamp!

We will be spending 2 weeks in Italy and will be visiting Rome, Sienna, Pisa, Florence, Portofino, Venice, Naples, and Sorrento. We will leave on June 19th and return on July 3rd.

I am most excited about the beach destinations and places along the coast. Here is a picture of Sorrento (which is on the Amalfi Coast.

Cody the Retriever

Cody definitely takes on the characteristics of being a Retriever. Although he sometimes gets into things and eats them, a lot of the time, he simply wants to "retrieve" our things. I woke up one morning after taking a nap on the couch to this. He had a collection of my clothes and things from my hair products basket. What a funny little man!

Baby Blaise

The newest member of The Cantley Clan, Baby Blaise. He is at home with his family and is very healthy! Morgan & Megan are great big sisters!

He is so precious and I look forward to having one of my own someday (once Josh reduces his work schedule to less than 18 hours a day). :-)

Over 40 Inches of Snow

In one week, DC was slammed with over 40 inches of snow! This caused the federal government to close down 4 out of 5 days in the week!

On Thursday (2/4), I went to Costco to stock up on food and a few bottles of vino. It was the craziest I have EVER seen it! My company gave us the word on Thursday afternoon that we could work from home on Friday. It began to snow on Friday in day and continued to snow through late Saturday night. On this snow storm, we received about 28 to 30 inches in Arlington.

On Tuesday, it began to snow yet again! It did not stop until late Wednesday night. This left us with an additional 12 inches. I am so grateful we live in Arlington and were able to get out a couple times and walk to restaurants.

I was very happy to be able to cook a bunch of things I haven't had time for lately. Over the week, I cooked Jambalaya, Potato Soup, homemade pizza dough, sauce and several pizzas, Pulled Pork and a few appetizers. I LOVE to cook when I have the time!

Paint Project

From The Justice League

I decided to paint the condo a couple weeks ago. Josh was very against this idea (he thought we should hire someone) and very busy with work (as always). :-) I was dead set on putting paint on the walls and couldn't wait another day. I went to Home Depot (multiple times that weekend) and picked out a color. I painted the entire living room and hallway all by myself (literally). Wow, all I can say is painting is a lot harder than it looks. It was a very exhausting task. Putting up the tape took a long time and then the whole "cutting-in" process is time consuming as well. Anyways, I still need to do a few touch ups but I was proud of myself for completing a project like this one all on my own.

I also FINALLY put up some wedding photos on the walls. :-)

Bad Dog, Marley!

This is what a naughty puppy can do to a pair of heels. :-(
