Monaco & France

As I mentioned in this post, Josh and I traveled to Monaco and France last month. We had a good time but the trip did have a few set backs... First, our flight was delayed out of Reagan which made us miss our direct flight to Nice, France. We were re-routed to Atlanta and just barely made a flight to Amsterdam. From Amsterdam, we then flew to Nice. Once we arrived in Nice, we realized we had no luggage (we got in the next day about 6-7 hours later than we would have if we had made our original flight). We arrived at our hotel in Monte Carlo (which is about 30 minutes from Nice) around 4 or 5pm and had a Welcome Reception we were supposed to attend at 7pm. We had no clothes to wear (except I had packed an extra sundress in my carry on). Josh had to find a store to get something to wear. Thank goodness we were able to find a store that was reasonably priced considering almost every store in Monte Carlo is extremely high end (think Gucci, Prada, etc). Once our luggage arrived (nearly 24 hours later) we were able to start enjoying the trip. We definitely enjoyed hanging out with some fun people from Xerox and their spouses. Our favorite part of Monaco was the food (since it borders France and Italy they have a combination of fantastic cuisine). Overall, Monaco isn't a place we would return to though. It is very stuffy and expensive. Our last day/night of the trip we moved to a hotel in Nice, France. This was by far our very favorite part of the trip. We wish we would have extended a few more nights in Nice. However, at the time we booked we were nervous to be away from Lucas for that long. Nice was so beautiful and such an amazing place to people watch. The food was also fantastic. I would definitely recommend Nice to anyone! So beautiful! Anyways, that was a quick recap of our trip.
