Bun in the Oven

We are excited to announce the arrival of Baby Justice in early to mid October!

It has been a long time since I have posted a blog entry. Honestly, for the last few months I have not had anything to blog about that wasn't pregnancy related. I have been absolutely exhausted and have spent every weekend on the couch in front of the tv.

I found out I was pregnant the week after Josh's 30th. I had been feeling a little off and decided to take a pregnancy test on Josh's actual birthday. The test came up negative but the next week I was still feeling a little weird. I took another test and another and another and all said POSITIVE! I was shocked - I don't know why but I was. I guess the whole parenthood thing scared me for the first week or so after finding out. However, after a week, I began to get really excited. We are so excited to find out the sex and are counting down the days!

Las Vegas 2011

We traveled to Las Vegas for Xerox's annual Agent Owners Conference. I can't believe how much Vegas has changed in just 2 years. We stayed at the Bellagio the last time we were there in 2008. Since our last visit, there is a whole new area (right next to the Bellagio) called City Center. There are several new hotels (4, I believe). We stayed at Aria in City Center. It was a beautiful hotel. However, if you go to Vegas, I would totally recommend the brand new Cosmopolitan. It opened in December and is the most over the top, beautiful hotel I have ever been in. It definitely would be the perfect place for a bachelorette party. I felt like the girls from Sex & The City were going to pop out somewhere in that hotel.

I am so proud of my hubby and his recognition at the event. :-)

PS - I won a little over $120. Not too shabby considering I only play slot machines.

We headed down to Louisiana to spend Christmas with Josh's parents. It was great to spend time with everyone and get a chance to see how much our nephew and niece have grown.

Too Busy to Blog

Wow, I have been a terrible blogger lately! So much has been going on! It has been just crazy lately. Upon moving into our new home, we immediately starting renovations on the house.

House Improvements:
-Ripped up all the floors on the first floor (there were 5 different types of flooring all on the main level). We had beautiful hardwood floors put in the entire first level with the exception of the laundry room and powder room which are now ceramic tile.
-Had the carpet ripped off the stairs as well as in the upstairs hallway and replaced it with same hardwood as the main level
-Had all 4 bedrooms carpet replaced
-Painted (most rooms - we still have more to do)
-Changed some light fixtures
-Ripped out the powder room on the main level(still a work in progress).

Because of the renovations, we were not able to start unpacking right away. The floors took about a week and a half so needless to say we still have MOUNTAINS of boxes to unpack! I am hoping the boxes will be unpacked before next Christmas. haha. :-)

The Next Chapter...

Finally! We closed on a single family home in Alexandria the day before Thanksgiving. We will be less than half a mile from my family. Although we already closed, we are not able to move in quite yet. The couple who owned it needed a bit more time to get moved out. So, we are staying with my family until we can move in on December 5th.
