Orlando

Josh's annual Xerox conference was held in Orlando, Fl this year. The actual conference started on Tuesday but we decided to go down on Friday to spend a couple days at the theme parks. We stayed at the Loews Portofino Hotel in Universal. My favorite party of the hotel was the spa. We got great massages there! It was a nice hotel but the service was not as top-notch as we expected.

Josh had never been to Disney so we spent a day there. We went to 3 Disney parks in 1 day! Normally, this would be impossible due to crazy lines. However, it was quite cold in Orlando so many people decided to stay home. We did not encounter ANY lines there - It was great. We enjoyed Epcot the most!

On Monday, we bundled up in coats and headed into the main park at Universal. It was oh so cold. Florida is supposed to be warm all year round! :-(
Universal did not amuse me too much. The rides were okay but I don't think I would return, well, maybe we will when we have kids.

I traveled home on Tuesday when the conference began and Josh arrived back home on Friday. Despite Florida being frigid, it was a nice mini-vaca.

New Camera

I love this camera! It takes such great photos. I am a loyal Canon camera lover. I lost my canon in summer and was so sad. I had been using a temp camera until I got this. It also records HD videos. Love it!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas in Virginia this year. Each year we alternate where we spend Christmas and Thanksgiving. We definitely missed Josh's family however it was very nice not to travel far and to get a little rest in. The week of Christmas was great (thanks to the snow) - I was able to work from home on Monday and Tuesday. I worked Wednesday and had Thursday (Christmas Eve) and Friday (Christmas Day) off. Cody was getting so spoiled having Mommy and Daddy home. Here are a few pictures from the holiday.

Snow Videos

Holiday Blizzard 2009

This weekend hit us with a very unexpected snow storm. We had plans to be with our friends Mike & Katie in NYC. Friday afternoon, we dropped Cody off at day care with the intention of leaving him there for the entire weekend. Around 3:30, Josh was on his way to pick me up from work so we could drive straight to NYC. We were starting to get nervous about the snow coming and made a game-time decision. Josh called Mike and asked if it would be possible to cancel our hotel rooms at the last minute. The hotel was understanding of weather and let us cancel. We then went back to doggie day care and picked Cody back up to bring him home. I have never been to NYC during Christmas and was really looking forward to seeing the tree. Also, we were really looking forward to spending time with Mike & Katie. The weather had alternative plans for us, though.

Here are some photos from the blizzard. Cody has truly enjoyed himself this weekend.
