Too Busy to Blog
Wow, I have been a terrible blogger lately! So much has been going on! It has been just crazy lately. Upon moving into our new home, we immediately starting renovations on the house.
House Improvements:
-Ripped up all the floors on the first floor (there were 5 different types of flooring all on the main level). We had beautiful hardwood floors put in the entire first level with the exception of the laundry room and powder room which are now ceramic tile.
-Had the carpet ripped off the stairs as well as in the upstairs hallway and replaced it with same hardwood as the main level
-Had all 4 bedrooms carpet replaced
-Painted (most rooms - we still have more to do)
-Changed some light fixtures
-Ripped out the powder room on the main level(still a work in progress).
Because of the renovations, we were not able to start unpacking right away. The floors took about a week and a half so needless to say we still have MOUNTAINS of boxes to unpack! I am hoping the boxes will be unpacked before next Christmas. haha. :-)

The Next Chapter...
Finally! We closed on a single family home in Alexandria the day before Thanksgiving. We will be less than half a mile from my family. Although we already closed, we are not able to move in quite yet. The couple who owned it needed a bit more time to get moved out. So, we are staying with my family until we can move in on December 5th.

Bye Bye Arlington
Wow... The day we moved out hit me harder than I thought it would. We were getting so cramped in our one bedroom condo and had become more frustrated with each month that passed. I didn't expect to be sad when we moved but I will miss Arlington. We spent 4 wonderful years in that condo and enjoyed our time there. I am also very excited to start the next chapter in life.
Here are a few photos of the empty condo:

Homecoming 2010
We went to Morgantown this past weekend for Homecoming. Here are some photos of the weekend.
PS - For all of us who loved the 80's room at Bent Willey's - I am sad to report it is no longer the 80's room. It is now the 90's room because the college kids currently in school were all born in the 90's. How sad - it is the end of a legend and an era.
Homecoming Float:
Alpha Phi & Phi Sig were partnered up. The theme was cities was cities and our float was Washington, DC. So ironic!

Nostaglia
Looking at this picture makes me think that time really flies. We are headed to Morgantown this weekend for Homecoming. Although going to Morgantown is fun, it can be a little sad at this age. I love my life and wouldn't change anything about it. However, college was such an awesome and fun time. We made so many friends and had so much fun. Oh how I miss the Bent Willey's 80's Room, Chicken Bones on Tuesdays, Back Door on Wednesdays, etc...
Anyways, Let's Go Mountaineers!

New Phone = Communication Challenges
Josh and I switched over from the Blackberry Storm to the Droid X about a week ago. I am usually pretty tech-savvy. However, this "Smart Phone" is way to "smart" for me. Hopefully I will learn how to use this phone soon!

WVU Alumni Crab Feast 2010
A few photos from this years crab feast. Thank goodness we got decent (but hot) weather this year and not the down pour from last!
I actually didn't take any pictures this year. This is from Jaime's camera.

Celebrating 2 Years
We celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday on August 23rd. We both left work a little early and headed down to Georgetown. First stop was the waterfront to grab a couple glasses of wine and an appetizer at Sequoia's. We then headed up the street to Morton's Steak House. We had an awesome meal and a very enjoyable time.

PS- This was taken before we switched our plates. They put the large rib-eye in front of Josh instead of me. I guess they figured a girl wouldn't order such a large piece of heaven. The filet belonged to Josh. :-)

The Burger Nupitals
Whitney & Matt tied the knot this past weekend in a lovely ceremony in Baltimore, MD. The reception was at The Belvedere in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore. Whitney made the most beautiful bride! It was such a beautiful reception and we had such a wonderful time!

Annapolis
I went up to Annapolis this weekend to see Kristin and meet her new boyfriend, Jeff. He is a very nice guy and a wonderful host! Jeff has a Golden Retriever named Cooper so I brought Cody along. We went swimming in the bay with the dogs. It was a great way to beat the heat on a day with temperatures around 103 degrees! This was Cody's 2nd time he has been in water (besides baths. However, this was really the first time he had been in water deeper than he is. He absolutely LOVED the water although he is not the most gracious looking swimmer. I guess he takes after my athletic abilities. haha.
