The Next Chapter...

Finally! We closed on a single family home in Alexandria the day before Thanksgiving. We will be less than half a mile from my family. Although we already closed, we are not able to move in quite yet. The couple who owned it needed a bit more time to get moved out. So, we are staying with my family until we can move in on December 5th.

Bye Bye Arlington

Wow... The day we moved out hit me harder than I thought it would. We were getting so cramped in our one bedroom condo and had become more frustrated with each month that passed. I didn't expect to be sad when we moved but I will miss Arlington. We spent 4 wonderful years in that condo and enjoyed our time there. I am also very excited to start the next chapter in life.

Here are a few photos of the empty condo:

Kim's Graduation

Jaime and I traveled down to North Carolina this weekend for Kim's graduation from East Carolina University. Kim is now a CRNA. For those of you who don't know what this means, I have provided Wikipedia's definition for you.

Definition:

A nurse anesthetist is a nurse who specializes in the administration of anesthesia.

In the United States, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), a registered nurse (RN) who has acquired graduate-level education in anesthesia overseen by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists's (AANA), Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.

For some of us, her title is impossible to pronounce, so this should indicate how tough of a program this is. :-)

It is crazy to think Kim and I have been friends since 7th grade and met in math class. Both of us had on floral Limited Too tee shirts. Oh, how time flies.

We are all very proud of Kim and her accomplishments and missed her in DC while she was gone for 28 months. She is moving back now and already has a job! Congrats Kim! Love you!
